As I pondered over the creation of my portfolio website, this phrase came to me. It popped right into my head; in one of those random, fleeting-flashes of divine inspiration that I believe all creative people have had the pleasure of experiencing at least once in their lifetime. With those words I was reminded of a very old memory, so old in fact, that I had almost all but forgotten… (though tbh your girl’s memory isn’t that great anyways lol.) Whether or not it was a real place, a dream, or perhaps just a child’s fantasy, one of my oldest memories is of a small meadow that I stumbled upon in the woods of my childhood home. While I hadn’t consciously thought about this memory in many years, I quickly realized that this place has been a constant image in my subconscious. That this little, unassuming clearing of grass, clover, and wildflowers had gently been nudging me along my entire life. It’s been quietly present in the background, as nature always is, just lovingly inspiring my artwork, writing, and dreams (both the day & night kind) time and time again. 

As I reflected on this sweet memory and cute little phrase, it didn’t take long for my brain to put two and two together. “Ah. So this is it. This is where I create from.”
